Join us for a fascinating webinar as TGS share their experience in conducting a cost-efficient high-resolution 3D seismic data acquisition over Sleipner, a carbon storage area offshore Norway, in 2022.
During this webinar TGS will explain the different acquisition technologies used in the project and present the results from the acquisition.
The project utilized TGS’ Extended High-Resolution (XHR) acquisition technology combined with ocean bottom nodes (OBN), to provide detailed imaging of the targeted carbon storage reservoir and the overburden.
The nodes were deployed using TGS’ proprietary node drop and self-recovery technique. This innovative node handling solution removes the need for an ROV vessel, which is a step change towards a more cost effective and efficient node handling solution.
