Join the three-day ImpactWind Summer School and gain in-depth knowledge of offshore wind energy, presented by leading experts from academia and industry.

The summer school is for professionals, researchers, and students who want to enhance their understanding of offshore wind development, from fundamental principles to advanced topics.

The programme features lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on exercises, covering key areas such as:

  • Wind resource assessment & met-ocean conditions: Learn about wind patterns, wakes, and oceanographic effects from experts at UiA, UiB, and UiS.
  • Technology & infrastructure: Gain insights into turbine foundations, support structures, marine operations, and maintenance strategies from industry and research specialists.
  • Regulatory & environmental considerations: Explore licensing, contracts, biodiversity impacts, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in offshore wind.
  • Market & supply chain dynamics: Understand the economic and social aspects of offshore wind development, including project financing, stakeholder engagement, and industry collaboration.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, discuss career opportunities, and join a social dinner on the first evening.
