Strengthens EU Capacity
Innovation Norway has granted NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster and GCE Subsea partial funding of a new joint EU advisor position.
The EU advisor will be working closely with the cluster companies with identifying relevant EU calls and producing top quality applications for project funding. The position is funded for 2 years, with an optional 2 years’ extension. The position will be advertised after the summer holiday.
Strengthening the Clusters
The main goal is to mobilise to increased participation in international RDI projects, which will strengthen the knowledge base and competitiveness of the cluster companies. The EU research and innovation programmes are key instruments in achieving this.
The EU Advisor will especially contribute in strengthening RDI cooperation in the ocean industries on themes where the subsea and seafood clusters are world leading and complement each other.
Blue Growth
- The EU Advisor will strengthen the clusters RDI capacity significantly, complementing their existing knowledge about Norwegian funding opportunities, say Gisle Nondal, R&D Manager at GCE Subsea.
-The strategic collaboration with NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster puts our clusters in the forefront in realising the crossover potentials between subsea and seafood production, stimulating blue growth, Nondal finishes.
