GCE Subsea has become a member of Ocean Energy Europe, the largest global network of ocean energy professionals.

In September GCE Subsea became a member of Ocean Energy Europe which is the leading technology platform for ocean energy in the world. The main reason for joining, is to increase new business opportunities and EU funding for our members through relevant events with the biggest industry players in Europe including EDF, ENGIE, ENEL Green Power and Atlantis Resources.

Yearly events include the OEE Conference & Exhibition and Strategy Days. These events provide an intimate environment to network with the industry’s most important players and get direct feedback and information from the EU institutions. This year’s Ocean Energy Conference and Exhibition is taking place on 25-26 October in Nantes, France.

Ocean Energy Europe also runs TP Ocean, the Technology & Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy. TP Ocean is a formal advisory body to the European Commission and defines technology priorities to be funded by Horizon 2020. Ocean Energy Europe builds and takes part in project consortia, such as SI Ocean or Marinet. We expect this to help our partners ahead of the game with early and better information about upcoming EU calls and access to excellent European consortia, which is key to succeeding with EU projects.

Should you need to discuss project ideas our EU Advisor, Poppy Kalesi are available for assistance to all GCE Subsea partners and members of GCE Subsea.
