OTC 2018 – Start Early Planning Now!
The annual trade show for the offshore oil and gas industry, OTC Houston, ranks as one of the world’s largest. Next year OTC celebrates its 50th anniversary. Start planning your attendance early to maximise the return
There are many opportunities for Norwegian companies at OTC. In addition to traditional exposure through stands and networking, you can present papers at the conference and apply to be considered for awards. Deadline for submitting papers is 19 September.
Applications for Spotlight on new Technology award is not yet open, but deadline is usually in December. Historically, many Norwegian technology companies have been awarded prizes at OTC. Last year we had two GCE Subsea members winning Spotlight on new Technology Awards; Techni AS and WiSub AS. The award gives the winners a unique exposure to media and potential customers and partners.
Norway2OTC
For the third consecutive year, there will be a united Norwegian delegation travelling to OTC, called Norway2OTC. The delegation programme will offer common travel and accommodation arrangements, administrative support and a tailored collection of seminars for the Norwegian delegates.
Innovation Norway will, as usual, have a Norwegian pavilion with dedicated spaces for start-up companies.
Both Innovation Norway and Norwegian Energy Partners have local branches in Houston and can assist you with American contacts.
Last year GCE Subsea introduced a travel support scheme for startups and other small companies joining the Norway2OTC delegation, and this will probably be offered for OTC 2018 as well.
