Têt-à-têt With Equinor Technology Ventures

GCE Ocean Technology recently arranged an event where some of our members got the opportunity to speed-date and pitch with Equinor Technology Ventures. A unique opportunity for “the small” to meet “the big”.

The GCE Ocean Technology event “Meet Equinor Technology Ventures” is a meeting place where small and medium sized companies showcase their innovative technology for Equinor, and Equinor meets potential project suppliers and technologies for either their LOOP programme or equity funding.

The event took place at GCE Ocean Technology’s office on Marineholmen in Bergen and started with each company giving an 8-minute pitch followed by lunch and a 20 minute follow-up meetings with Equinor.

Equinor met with a strong team from both Venture, Research & Technology and Subsea Operations. Audun Abelsnes, Managing Director at Techstars Energy was also invited as a special guest to learn more about the technology coming from our cluster members.

The response from some of the participating companies was that this event gave them a unique opportunity to present their technology to key personnel in Equinor.
