Another ACCEL Energy cohort have successfully pulled through and completed their 12 weeks of hard work.

Running a start-up can be challenging in many ways. To ease the road to success we created the programme; ACCEL Energy in 2011, to address entrepreneurial challenges. ACCEL Energy is tailored to founders within the energy industry with disruptive products and services.

Cramming and Pitching

During the last 12 weeks the start-up companies have gone through intensive training in pitching, sales, marketing and growth strategies, in addition to performing one-on-one meetings with mentors and representatives from relevant corporations.

The participation in ACCEL Energy, through GCE Ocean Technology, has given us a valuable foundation to scale Allianse Innovasjon through an extended network and access to external capital. We truly recommend this programme to all companies in the early stages, says Arnt Dietel, Partner in Allianse Innovasjon.

This year’s participants have been exciting companies with innovative products, services and solutions within the ocean energy sector. Some are related to brand new renewable energy solutions, condition monitoring, marine safety systems and drilling control.

ACCEL Energy holds top academic level delivered by Caspar Lund from Accel and his team. – This cohort has been one of the best we have had so far, says Lund. – I would especially like to highlight the tremendous job the founders did by performing 90 meetings in one day at our “MeetCorporates” day. Our corporate sponsors were very pleased with those meetings and I think we will see the results in the near future, Caspar concludes.
