Successful Course Series in Project Development

Jon O. Hellevang from GCE Ocean Technology held the webinar courses and used the opportunity to briefly talk about our Covid-19 support measures.

We have doubled the number of attendees and received very good response on our webinar series about project development. Sign up for our last module 23 April to get concrete examples of project applications.

GCE Ocean Technology has digitalized our courses about project development into a webinar series in three parts. The courses aim to help you find and apply for public funding so that you can realize your best projects.

Positive Feedback and Good Interaction

The two first course modules received very positive feedback from the participants. The majority of participants reported that the content was very relevant and useful, as well as professionally executed, according to our participant survey.

Moreover, we have received positive feedback about our interaction via chat and Q&A functions with the participants during the meetings.

There were about 50 participants at both webinars, which is about twice as high as previous courses in project development, and the webinars have been free of charge and open for all.

It is very encouraging to see the positive response from the audience, especially during these times when physical events are impossible to execute.

Real Application Examples from our Members

We welcome our partners and members to join our third and last module of the course 23 April 11:00-12:00.

This course will provide examples of applications submitted by the cluster and cluster companies as feedback from previous courses has highlighted the interest for real application examples.

We are very happy to have been allowed to share two applications. In addition, we will go through our own application from when our cluster applied for status as a Global Centre of Expertise (GCE), which was rejected in 2014 and approved in 2015.

Public Funding Opportunities

GCE Ocean Technology provides financial and professional support to establish externally funded RDI projects.

Following the last courses, GCE Ocean Technology has provided input in two innovation project applications. We have also applied for more pre-project funding from Vestland County to realise more innovations from the cluster.

As part of our Subsea Innovation Day 28 April, both Innovation Norway and the Research Council of Norway will provide an overview of there Covid-19 measured to help companies innovate.
