Ocean Hyway Cluster and GCE Ocean Technology invite you to a study tour to the fantastic Orkney Islands in Scotland 4-7 May.
The Orkney Islands is a pioneer in the production of renewable energy and hydrogen storage and is gaining great international attention for their work within these areas.
Programme
Ocean Hyway Cluster and GCE Ocean Technology represent members invested within both hydrogen and marine energy and we will tailor the programme in the best suitable way for the participants.
The main focus will be on schemes around the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC), which is responsible for most of the activity connected to marine energy and hydrogen on the islands. In addition, we will meet Community Energy Scotland, local energy actors, local authorities, students / academia ++

4 and 7 of April will be spent travelling, and we plan two full days scheduled at Stromness and Kirkwall.
Practicalities and Price
All participants cover their own travel and accommodation, but we will send out information with both travel and accommodation tips to those who have signed up.
Price for members of Ocean Hyway Cluster, Hub for Ocean or GCE Ocean Technology: 2,000 NOK + VAT
Price for non-members: 4,000 NOK + VAT

May is the tourist season in the Orkney Islands, so it is rather urgent to book your stay. We recommend that you register as soon as possible and no later than Friday 18 March. 25 places are available in total, first come, first served. The minimum number of attendants required to be able to go through with the trip is 15 persons.
