Deep sea minerals – Call for papers
We invite you to propose presentations within 1 July for the Deep Sea Minerals conference to be held in Bergen 26-27 October.
Last year’s conference gathered around 200 people that learnt more about deep sea minerals. This year's conference addresses environmental aspects, geology, technology and innovation to secure minerals for the green shift.
Topics of interest
Papers within the following topics are of interest:
- Environmental monitoring; strategies, challenges, and technologies
- Exploration strategy; methodology and technologies
- Production concepts and technologies
- The value chain/Mineral processing
- Short and long-term societal challenges
The committee is particularly interested in receiving contributions concerning technological developments that are relevant to exploration and environmental monitoring and encourages postgraduate students to submit their work.
Please send an abstract with approximately 500 words to conferences@geonova.no within 1 July. Illustrations are welcome.

Deep sea minerals
An international conference to be arranged for the 2nd time 26-27 October in Bergen Norway. We expect about 200 participants from all over the world.
The conference is targeting industry professionals, environmental groups, policymakers, the geoscience community and other stakeholders who are eager to learn more about an emerging global industry and how Norway is preparing for the 1st licensing round for deep-sea minerals.
