Nils Petter Lillebø is the Product & Solutions Manager in Goodtech AS, Region Northwest.

We aim to leverage our expertise in robotics, automation, electrification and digitalization to provide sustainable and profitable solutions for our customers and are looking to extend our team with more smart and talented engineers, says Nils Petter Lillebø from Goodtech.

Cluster Insight offers a glimpse into the daily operations of GCE Ocean Technology partners and members through a series of six questions.

This week, we had the pleasure of interviewing Nils Petter Lillebø from Goodtech – a robotics, automation, electrification and digitalization company that enable smarter, greener and more sustainable industrial solutions.

1. What is your role in Goodtech?

I am the Product & Solutions Manager in Goodtech AS, Region Northwest.

Furthermore, I am currently working as Technical Lead in the Employer SCADA project on Hywind Tampen where we have delivered the overall SCADA system and have implemented Equinor's advanced "Motion Control" system.

The Motion Control system ensures optimal production from the field by continuously adjusting the wind turbines in relation to current, waves and wind. The project also includes the integration of all essential third party systems into our Wind SCADA system for visualization, monitoring and control.

2. Your primary focus at work right now is?

My main focus area at the moment is positioning Goodtech for the next large offshore wind projects such as the Sørlige Nordsjø 2 and Utsira Nord.

These windfarms, recently released for applications by the Norwegian Government, will be the first state controlled commercial offshore wind projects in Norway.

To be part of the supply chain for these projects and further contribute to the industrialization of floating offshore wind is part of our strategy. Equinors Trollwind and equal wind farm projects like SnøVIND are also exciting projects we hope to take part in. We think that our experience from the Hywind projects will make us an attractive partner.

We are currently also looking at other wind farm projects outside Norway and see that there are a lot of projects coming up in e.g the UK/Scotland area.

3. Biggest challenges and opportunities for Goodtech in the future?

Goodtech has a strong focus on profitable and sustainable solutions to our customers using our competence within electrical System, High-Voltage, control systems, Robotics and Digitalization.

We see large opportunities in the green transition within the energy sector and aim to recruit new colleagues to take part in that journey. Please visit the homepage of our recruitment partner.

4. Best part of being member in a cluster?

The best part of being part of the GCE Ocean Technology cluster is the possibility to meet companies with the same objectives as Goodtech.

The cluster has a wide range of interesting events to attend. Being part of the cluster has also given Goodtech the opportunity to present our competence and our history and references within Floating Offshore Wind.

5. Your business/life motto

Make our customers profitable.

6. Which cluster member should we interview next?

Fjordbase AS

Thank you for the insight Nils Petter.
