Meet us at Arendalsuka
If you are interested in the progress in the offshore wind market, marine minerals or technology transfer from the oil and gas sector to other industries we have something to offer you.
Mark your calendar for the following not-to-miss sessions during Arendalsuka.
14 August: From promising green pilot to profitable company - how to secure funding?
There are many exciting technology transfers happening from the oil and gas sector to other industries.
The challenge for companies with pilots is to secure funding to take the product further into the commercialization phase. How can we improve this?
16 August: The big offshore wind meeting
The race for offshore wind has begun. A total of 18 consortia are competing to build the first large-scale offshore wind farms in Norway.
At this event during Arendalsuka, we will have a debate with three of the major offshore wind actors and political parties.
16 August: From cluster to supercluster
We have many business clusters in Norway, firmly rooted in local competitive advantages, and GCE Ocean Technology is one of them.
We now see that other countries have made choices and created superclusters to have greater power to assist member companies with increased exports and green solutions.
Isn't it time for Norway to do the same? Or should we watch as companies from other nations outperform us? We invite you to a panel discussion with key politicians and business leaders.
Join Energy Transition Norway for an afternoon session where they look into the topic
17 August: What is the potential on the seabed?
What kind of values exist at the bottom of the seabed, and how many job opportunities can it create? What potential does Norway have to take a leading role in the development of this industry? And could the answer to an increasingly troubled world lie beneath our seabed?
17 August: Has Norway hit another "golden opportunity"?
Seabed minerals, which are essential for the production of modern technology, could be Norway's second winning ticket in the global lottery.
But can we tap into this potential, and what do we stand to lose if we leave resources of the size of the Government Pension Fund (NBIM) lying on the seabed?
17 August: A national offshore wind competence boost
The momentum behind Norwegian offshore wind investment is now in full swing. In order for Norway to secure a leading future in this endeavor, the cultivation of the right competance stands as an absolute imperative.
At the heart of this mission lies the National Competence Center for Offshore Wind, strategically located in Agder, poised to assume a pivotal role. This seminar aims to underscore how our collective efforts will steer the course towards how we together can be part of realizing Norway's ambitious offshore wind investment.
