New Markets and Low Carbon Solutions

When asked about Aker Solutions' drivers toward new low-carbon solutions and markets, she replies, "Aker Solutions' vision is to solve the energy challenges for future generations. Our strategy is aimed at being a leading player in the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon future. For example, by investing in new technology to reduce the carbon footprint in oil and gas production, as well as developing solutions for renewable energy like offshore wind power."

Silje also highlights exploring new markets and sectors, including carbon capture and storage, hydrogen production, and infrastructure for electrification of offshore installations.

– Partnerships are important for Aker Solutions, Silje notes. Collaborating with other companies, research institutions, and authorities to accelerate the development of low-carbon solutions and realize common goals is essential.
