Meet Our New Interns
Stine and Daniel will contribute to evaluating our growth program and expanding our course offerings.
This spring, we are excited to welcome Daniel Alsvik and Stine Brorstad from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), as our new interns.
They're set to take a closer look at what's working well with our growth program and expand our course offerings to our partners and members.
In the 12 weeks ahead, you will meet Daniel and Stine at our different events, and some of you might be asked to provide input on what type of new courses and training there is a need for.
A Decade in the Oil Industry with a Fresh Perspective
Stine comes to us with nearly a decade of experience in the oil industry, specializing in sales of piping to the maintenance, modification and operations market.
Familiar with many of our partners and members, Stine is excited to apply her industry knowledge from a new and innovative perspective.
Currently in her first year of a Master's in Innovation and Management at HVL, Stine is keen on bridging theory and practice during her 12-week internship.
– I can't wait to dive into specific projects and use my experience and education to tackle problems and drive improvements in these projects, Stine shares.
A Path from Music to Ocean Technology
Daniel Alsvik brings a unique blend of creativity and entrepreneurial thinking to GCE Ocean Technology.
– I am driven by innovation and have found it through musical and entrepreneurial journeys, says Daniel who has a marketing and administration-oriented bachelor's degree tailored to the music industry.
– After a year in the corporate world, I returned to school because of my passion for sustainable development, seeing the master's as an opportunity to contribute more. The values and mission of GCE Ocean Technology are therefore a great inspiration to me, and I look forward to learning more about the Norwegian ocean technology sector and all the exciting developments happening here.
We are looking forward to having Daniel and Stine onboard and hope you will give them a warm welcome.
