Annual Report Launched
2023 has been a year of both long-term planning and immediate actions. We have worked closely with our partners and members to launch projects that pave the way for a sustainable and competitive future.
Our long-term strategy focuses on developing among others strong value chains. These efforts is aimed at reinforcing Norway's presence in emerging markets but also to establish us as a leader in ocean innovation. In the short term, our focus has been on supporting our members more immediate needs.
Sharing Knowledge and Technology
This year, we hosted over 50 events and forums where participants shared knowledge and insights. These arenas have been crucial for launching new innovation projects and activities tailored to the evolving needs of companies within the ocean industries.
An example of this and a key achievement this year, was establishing a new renewable energy resource group with more than 70 employees from our member companies. Their first in-person meeting took place in Equinor’s Hywind Tampen control room, providing a close look at cutting-edge industry technologies.
A Blue Quantum Leap
We also launched the "Blue Quantum Leap" project, in partnership with Energy Transition Norway and GCE Blue Maritime. This cross-industry initiative aims to tackle national challenges more effectively and increase exports from our mainland industries.
